Why the hell is Cobb involved in other EB platforms, but not this one?

Market.

They can't sell parts to 30k young kids.

Sent from my mobile, I think.

i messaged Cobb on facebook, and they said they were developing something for our platform but that was at least 3+ months ago!

Jeremy@Full-Race tuned the truck with SCT and tuned the Fusion with Cobb, he said the Cobb is light years ahead of the SCT. It's pretty sweet in the fact that you can just turn up boost or timing and if you hit a limiter it tells you what limiter you're hitting and how to adjust it.
I pray they come out with something for the cars and trucks eventually. HP Tuners is looking at it as well now.

Cobb would be welcomed with an open wallet from me, that's for sure. I'd sail my LMS tuner right down the river. Lolz

You guys really amaze me sometimes.

The Fiesta weighs as much as one of my nuts; lug nuts that is.

No feasible way to compare a car that I can field kick 50 yards against a 4000lb beast.

Nobody is comparing their size... I was merely admiring its performance and wanted to share with fellow ecoboost owners.

IT's SO TINNNY!

I saw one at LMS and I was like "WAAAAH"; I don't think my big fat arse could even get through the door.

ShoBoat

I am curious to see how long it lasts running like that.

Ok, that's it!  We need to reach deep into the 11's with the SHO/MKS now :D

I think we'd blow the PTU/trans before that happens unfortunately  :-
I don't think so at all, with my fueling setup and ATP turbos the SHO should easily run mid 11's without an issue.

I agree. I ran 12.09 and 12.09 with both my SHOs (2010 and 2013). The 12.09 with non-PP with no downpipes and no turbo upgrade with an aggressive tune (LMS stage 4+ of 2 years ago). The 12.08 with the 2013 that is a PP with downjpipes, still no turbo upgrade. That tune is conservative as per Dan says at LMS. With same aggressiveness as the tune I had in the 2010, it would run probably 11.8-11,9 (in good racing conditions)... So if I would add the turbo upgrade, I would imagine that with no traction issues, it should run mid 11's...

Is this tune only or Alky kit also?

Quote from: geswek on May 12, 2014, 07:24:02 PMJust think it's funny how people are like "OMG IT RUNS 12.5"; well yeah, if I strapped a turbo to skateboard I'd probably do 2 second 1/4 miles.

Now that's comical. :clap2:

But on a serious note, kind of cool to see the improvements that can be had.

yowen

Considering stock, according to motortrend, is a 14.9. That is indeed a big improvement. I wonder how much of a factor those fat front tires are. I'm thinking they aid quite a lot in improving on that ~15 second number.

I can tell you from many custom tune from cobbs using the device and watching them do there work it is top notch. Ive like lms so far but would have to say it would be hard not to switch to cobb if it came out for the explorer but that happening its a long ways out in my opinion they might do the sho.

I contacted Cobb's SoCal franchise (Fountain Valley I think?) when I wanted some time on a AWD dyno, they were 'too busy' to rent time on their machine.
