It's an Ecoboost PI. No, I'm not LEO. I just like the rubber floors, vinyl bench and no center console. They're kid-proof for the most part. Column shift is nice too. The regular Taurus interior with that large console is uncomfortable to me, makes me feel squished from the hips down. I sat in my boss's SEL right after he leased it, didn't care for it at all.
I bought it used from a dealer in Georgia with 7400 miles. There's nothing else optioned into the car other than the engine. I've been looking for one with the least amount of extra stuff on it as I could find. There was another one with the 3.7 that came in with a Damaged Unit tag on the window sticker, waited too long on that one. Based on the pictures from the dealer, there's an aftermarket console screwed to the base plate with what I can only guess is a radio installed. Don't matter to me, it's all coming out anyways.
I found the 2001 CVPI I had at a local dealer here, had 10 miles on the odometer when I test drove it. Got that for $21K in Feb. 2002. This new PI has more miles, but for what I'm getting compared to the CV, I dont think 27,900 shipped was a bad deal at all.
