Why the wheel hop all of a sudden!?!

Basically, I launch at roughly 3/4 throttle and by the time I'm reaching the top end of 2nd I'm at WOT, with most of that additional 1/4 throttle coming after the 1-2 shift. Just have to experiment a little and see what works best for your setup.

Check your tire pressure as well.

The only time I've had any wheel hop is in less than desirable traction conditions with a tune. (Cold and or wet)

Everyone above has pretty well covered the reasons why it happens though.

FracoSho- I just loaded my unleashed tune last night, I have wheel hop like a mofo if I'm not careful launching.
Never had that problem before the tune.

Just finished experimenting. I. Reloaded my 4+ and headed to an empty lot. Got a couple good launches using the techniques suggested on this thread. I even tried to get wheel hop and couldn't.  Brake boosted at 2,000 RPM's and floored it. Nice smooth launch and the tires squealed as they should. Maybe it was the blacktop vs. the concrete street, and maybe my tires warmed up a little from my other launches. Basically, I don't think it's an issue with the car, just an issue with the additional power and undesirable conditions. With the right conditions and good launching technique, I should have no problems. 

Thanks to everyone for helping me out and thanks to LMS for getting back to me on this issue. 13.50 is my goal tomorrow. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.
