LMS tune updated v6 = less power?

If the threshold is broken it will generate a code, and can generate a code indicating which cylinder is miss firing. Its all relative to the cause, where a random miss fire could have a cause unrelated to a ignition component. And merely a result of another problem. Where a single cylinder code would indicate a bad plug or coil. But as to miss fires all cars do it and miss fires occur about 10% of the time. But that great compared to the old days miss fires occurred a lot more often.

Interesting, well I have taken it out and it seems to be lots better, I also filled up the tank with 94 (again) and took it for a drive on the local toll road. And no misfires! (Stock tune) At least not yet and under heavy load. The guys at LMS were good enough to send over the v8 tune. I'm going to give that a try and see what happens.

My guess is that there was nothing wrong with the earlier  " bad " tune .
Somewhere in the file transfer or burn / rewrite  process it somehow got corrupted .
It's one of those things that occasionally just happens ..... gremlins maybe.

Damn gremlins, I was never fond of those cars anyway ;). I'm just glad it's all fixed.

Great to hear!  Still would like to know the technical details of why the older tune was so prone to issues.  My guess is it is related to the Ford's ECU programming changes for 2013+ SHO's, and finer points still being ironed out by aftermarket tuners.  Everyone running the v6 version, at least on 2013+, should probably get the v8 version instead.

No, it doesn't do it with advance trac off. And it only does it from dead stop wot pulls. Not thrilled about it but I guess I'm ok with it, one other member has the same issue and LMS said that's about it for me, they said only solution would be to down tune it. And I'm only running 91 meth tune not 93, because 92 is the best they have at the pumps in Oregon.

Still wondering if there is another tune for me though?

SCT updated tunes = Unleased, MyCal updated tunes = LMS.  May be able to trade in your SCT for MyCal with LMS, not sure  CAN trade in your X3 towards an X4 with Unleashed.

Mine does the same with less mods, if I get on it and I'm not at least in advancetrac sport mode then same effect. In fact if I jump on it and it downshifts into first then the car pretty much shuts off for a sec, the blow off sounds nuts and I get a big puff of black smoke out the back. I can only imagine yours with more hp and mods.
