Thanks again guys. The X proved itself well on my trip through the mountains. Even at 5500 ft above sea level she still had good power. Much like the WWII fighters the turbo technology was created for. Speaking of tunes, on my to do list already along with an RX catch can. I get a good coating of oil from the PCV inside my pipes that I would like to remedy early. I'm also looking for poly bushings for the motor mounts or at least the 2 lower engine braces if anyone knows of any.

I'm not sure you have figured out already(with your ESport all stock) that the lower engine mount that controls rotation  of the motor is waaaayyy to soft but I'm glad you did 8).  I didn't discover it til after my exhaust/tune. The first time it spun the tires going into 2nd the whole drivetrain did an ugly shudder!  :angry1: I've been meaning to remove that lower mount and and see how it can be modified... It would seem unlikely that the aftermarket has responded to the need already.

Yep, this is my forth turbo vehicle, up here living at mile high N/A engines feel noticeably lacking (around 11% loss in power at 5280) so forced induction is an option I look for. I have driven the SHO up to 11,000 feet over Berthoud Pass and she feels the same up there as down in the front range.

Yep know all about the poly. Second mod I did to the VW. 2 bushings on the lower engine mount makes a world of difference. Reduced drivetrain slop and wheel hop along with better shifting while turning or cornering. Now have full polyurethane setup and couldn't be happier. Now if I could tighten up the X even half as good I'll be happy. I've been meaning to do the same thing, pull the lower mounts and see what I can come up with.

Interested in this.  On Gen I/II SHOs, upgrading to Gen III subframe w Gen III bushings made the ride that much better.  Add in bigger sway bars,  watch out corners & canyons!

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Those poly bushings is a good thing to think about. Anybody aware of good options available yet?

Also, that Thule looks great, which model is that??
