We at Livernois Motorsports & Engineering are excited to announce another new product for the EcoBoost Family of engines. Our new EvenFlo thermostats are being introduced as a true, Direct-Fit solution for these cars and trucks. While we have offered thermostats for these before, these new thermostats are manufactured based on the correct OEM sizing, and manufactured exclusively for us by a Tier 1 OEM supplier ensuring the most consistent performance and quality available.

We are offering this new 160* temperature as well that allows for even more consistent performance over the OEM thermostat and other performance thermostats on the market. With the factory thermostat being a 180* piece, we wanted to offer a thermostat that ensured the best possible performance for our customers, and this new 160* does just that.

I'm pretty sure that my '10 SHO is a 190 degree. Has the 190 been sidelined in favor of a 180 by Ford now or has the 190 been retained by the SHO?

OEM is a 180°.

OEM is 180 for both ecoboost and the NA engines.  A few years ago, 192 or 195 was common but not so much anymore.  Cleaner running higher compression engines don't need to run so hot anymore to meet emissions standards.

Wow!!!  For the last couple of years I've been operating on a false assumption. Don't know where I picked up that bad info as all of my old timer instincts make me feel like 180 should be normal. Got to see if I can find where my misinformation came from. I know my coolant temps often range up to 190 but seldom went much beyond and that did not worry me as I chalked it up to the 190 stat. If I've got a 180 stat, I should be running closer to the low 180's most of the time unless my cooling system is not doing it's job. Got to research this!

That's not too surprising on your operating temps. There is a lot going on under the hood of these cars, so heat builds up rather easy. This is another reason why we moved down to a 160* as the heat soak is already pretty ridiculous, so every bit helps.

Call Brandon at LMS and tell him you are on the forum.  Maybe he'll swing you a deal.

We do offer an upgrade program for all of our customers that had purchased the 170* stat from us in the past that want to move to the upgraded 160* design as well.

We also do offer bundled discounts. Feel free to contact us for specifics on these!

Just did the 160 tonight.  So far, so good!  (Still burping the baby.)
