Thanks Mike!

I have tried to make sound clips three times now and the wind is overwhelming.  I'll try again when we have a nice, calm day.  But, from the back, it pretty much sounds stock.  Maybe a little deeper.  Inside the car, it has sort of a healthy roar. I'll try recording that too.

DJE624

This still has a ton of interference but, you should be able to get the idea.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!!  Hopefully you will get a "quiet" day for another exterior clip :)  What do you think of the interior sound levels while cruising?
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

thats the catless DP's and with the 3rd cat and resonator back in ?

sounds perfect to me, very nice.

Yes.  Catless pipes, the rest stock.  I really like it a lot.  When cruising,  it is almost silent.  But when you nail it, it has a nice healthy roar.

Sounds like mine with my 60 dollar cat delete.  LOL

That may be but, my sound has substance.

what do the downpipes cost so much ?

I mean that's a lot of money for what it is. You can get a nice full set of ceramic coated longtube headers for just about any V8 for what these things cost and they have a ton more performance gains.

that's the only holding me up from getting some off road down pipes, the high cost for two bent up exhaust pipes.

Among other things simple demand... The SHO is a relatively uncommon car, not many to be sold.  For the PPE... It's the R&D right now as with any new thing... without the ceramic... (with does not appear to ad performance based on dyno testing)... cost drops $175 for the PPE.  yea, a lot, I know.... but right now I have the only set... I paid for a "one of".... There may well be other reasons.

I love them... both sound and street performance.... not to mention the appearance.  I have a theme and paid for ceramic on my PPE Hotpipes too.... properly deleted the noisemaker with them and went to VTA with a really cool appearance which is part of what I'm shooting for with my engine compartment scheme... I'm getting the RX catch can and cleanside separator... but I'm gonna plumb them ..(and likely all underhood tubes).. with black braided hose and shiny black AN connectors instead of rubber hoses and push-on barbs (which work great BTW)..... Sorry, got off topic there...  Others will have different tastes and motivations...Vive' La Differance!

Obsessed with BLACK   ... LOL

That's OK ... I'm going RED  Rx Catch can and clean side / RED
HotPipes , RED Engine Cover other  stuff .....

Down Pipes  catless and  are plain stainless  finish ... not worth the extra $175 for me .
I really think its  a simple supply and demand issue as far as price is concerned  .

Megan Racing is considering making Down Pipes for the SHO and my guess is they will be less expensive than what is available now.

true and as I figured really. I love having a somewhat rare SHO but that's a lot for what it is. If I could get over that I would have been running some for months now. I have the jack to do it and a ton more I'm just tight with it.
