I had my 2010 OEM's 20" plastidipped and those same wheels transferred on my 2013 and just got them painted in tuxedo black. I was charged 720$ for the set of 4: wheels sanded and repaired, three coats of tuxedo black, baked two times. A much better and durable result than plastidip imo. But plastidip, if well done is a good option and reversible too. However, it doesn't peel off that easy because it bakes to the wheel with higher temps caused from brakes.
Here are pictures:
This is the only decent picture I have in my iPhone that shows the look of plastidipped wheels when cleaned with tire shine:
2010 blue wrapped SHO 12.09 at 117.9mph - SOLD
2013 SHO PP 12.08 at 113.83mph...

... Love the wheels on both rides!  Was it much trouble to match the Kona blue?

I have account at Sherman William and Ford Kona Blue is L60 paint#. It's not cheap by the QT. (at $52 my cost retail $102) because it's Pearl and Blue Metal Flake mix. And I got HAPPY WITH IT, here it is on my Grill.

I'm going to be dropping some stuff off at the blaster/powder coating place I use hopefully in a couple of weeks.  I plan on asking them how much to blast and powder coat my 20" SHO wheels.  I can report back here once I get a price.

I'll be doing mine probably fall of this year when I switch to an A/S tire.  I'm thinking some kind of matte black, gunmetal or dark gray, not 100% sure yet.

i may also get mine painted in a dark gunmetal/gray color, but i also want them glossed.  basically i want the look of the black premachrome, w/o the high price.

if thats too expensive, i'll just buy aftermarket rims...

I actually just plastidipped my OEM 20's today lol ... my friend owns a powdercoat shop, but I wanted to see how I liked it before I made it permanent :)

I think I may actually buy the rims for the 2013 sho. I think they look very sweet.

If you go that route, let me know.    List is 790/wheel from Ford, but I can get for 545.33 plus a 50 core charge................lot's of haggling on insurance claim.

I am going the other way and picking up some chromed 2010-2012 20s. They come with the TPMS and Firestone Wide Ovals off EBay from Detroit Wheel and Tire. From what I understand, they are takeoffs that are PVD chromed. They also offer black chrome too.

I like chrome. If I could have a chrome car I would. (Good thing my SHO is ingot silver!)  8)
