Third Brake Light ???

Anyone pulled their third brake light?  Is a real pain?  I was planning a little mod to it,  I want to take it out and put in a black lens with "SHO" cut out of it so it will have the logo display in red light when the brakes are applied and it will be subtly visible at all times.   Thoughts?

Cool Idea!... Not only SHO... but any number of things might fit there and be large enough to read.  I'd like the mod myself.

I recall my window tinter removed mine, to install the tint on rear windshield but that was February of 2010.

It didn't look like it required a whole helluva lot of effort (to remove).

But again, it's been four years that have passed.
