Dave,

I am making the swap to the SEL taillights, picked them up off ebay, after weeks of watching, for a little over $125 for all 4 pieces.  I like the look you were able to pull off and just dont know if I like the plastidip look.  My 2011 SHO is Kona blue and think the flat black might not look good.  One question tho, you said you replaced the headlights, they look stock to me, what did you do?
2011 SHO Kona Blue - SEL Taillights, K & N Drop in, window tint coming soon, possibly a 91 oct tune and exhaust.  Possible lowering springs.

Sorry, I'll speak up for Dave, he replaced his headlights because he had tinted them with Lamin-X and found that it was too dark of a shade.  When he removed the Lamin-X it also removed the protective layer on the headlights so he replaced them with stock lights. so they were not damaged.  He then had a pro install the Lamin-X lighter shade...called "Tint" (which) only blocks about 6% of light.  But they are stock lights tinted with Lamin-X's lightest shade.  Which BTW, is the same shade that I put on my car, it's light enough that most people don't even notice that the lights are tinted on my red car, however, I believe it really is just right on the white car, it does a super job of setting off the headlamps and does look darker against the white then on my red.  Sorry, for speaking for Dave, but I know he's really busy this week.

Thanks Mark.  That was a nightmare.  I found out much later my tint guy Joe (Busyman) could have steamed them off or even refinished them down to fresh plastic and added UV too!  Oh well, live and learn.

You know Dave, you're right, sometimes it's just better to leave things to a pro...that's why they are worth the money and hard to beat...they usually make a job we think of as a nightmare like pretty simple.  I've always said, you never appreciate someone who works on a sewer/septic system until you need them...if you have a job that looks just terrible and sh88ty is just another day at work for them!
