Anyone else get this letter from Ford?

Got a letter from Ford in the mail today. It's almost like a recall but not really. It basically says there may be issues with the throttle body. Because if this the warranty on the throttle body is being extended to 10 years 150,000 miles from warranty start date. It will cause the wrench light to go on and if it does, Ford will replace the throttle body. It goes on to say that an updated powertrain calibration will be out this spring in the event this problem occurs. Based on what the letter says, I kind of want to clean my throttle body now. Which is something I used to do on a yearly basis on other cars. Can anyone tell me how I can get to the throttle body?

It was for my wife's 2011 Fusion.  Funny, I replaced the throttle body 3 weeks after we got the car last June.  It was a national backorder then and found one 2hrs away so got it.  I figured I was out the money for it, but called FORD when I got the letter and I will be getting my money back, just had to take the receipt to my nearest dealer.  The warranty manger wondered why I didn't have it fixed warranty.  I responded about that I bought the car at a GM dealership with there extended warranty, didn't want to play who was going to pay to fix and, but mostly my wife was almost in an accident cause of it, and I wasn't messing around for her safety.  Just surprised to get the letter.

What was the car doing?  No problems so far on my wife's escape. Now I feel like we're just waiting for something to happen. I'm gone take a look inside the throttle body and see what's what.

Got the same letter for our 2010 Frod Escape 3.0

You will loose all throttle response.  There will be no warning signs, it just does it.  The wrench will come on, spits and spurts.  She actually had to find a safe place to pull off and put car in park, turn off, wait about 30 seconds, start car, then it is fine for awhile.   The car goes into "limp mode", but if you are in heavy traffic, its all you can do to not to get hit.  Here is the part number off our bad one 9L8F-9F991-BE.  I think they got a bad batch of throttle assemblies.   Here is the part number of the new one DS7Z-9E926-D, think its an updated part.
