Identify these leaks

What a fun game LOL. Got under the MKS for the first time since purchasing it, she got a fresh fill of Mobile 1 Synthetic. I snapped a few shots of some areas that look to be leaks, though they are most likely seeping as there was nothing worth mentioning on the inside of the plastic cover that lays under these two points. One picture is where the passenger side drive shaft comes out, the other appears to be a rear motor mount that is off center on the drivers side. The fluid is the color of new synthetic motor oil. Again I did not see anything on the inside of the plastic cover or anything on my driveway so its likely nothing to worry about but I thought I would check.

That does not look normal IMO,there is a recall on the halfshaft and did you have it inspected at the dealer.  Z

Motor mount failure has been known to happen from time to time.  That could very well be the cause of this "leak".  Have you noticed any "natural gas" type smells while driving?  If the PTU vent is puking, it is pretty obvious.   With regards to seals, the PTU-transmission seal is the one that leaks, and the mix comes out brownish pink (trans + PTU fluid), but that should originate on the other side of the PTU, not the passenger halfshaft side.

So I'd clean up the area for now and watch more closely to identify the real source.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

It looks like possibly one of the bolts was changed,it has a Aqua green/blue hint of color on it.  Z

Wonder if that aqua paint stripe crossing the seal and extending on to the bolt and casing is one of those "tamper detectors" ... There are a few on my car for sure in various colors and it was bought new.

I may have noticed the natural gas smell once, its not something that happens often, that was my first thought when i seen it but I have no idea where the fluid ends up when that happens. I agree, I didn't think it was the PTU/tranny seal due to where it was located and the color. I had the same plan, I cleaned it all up and will check it again after I drive it for a day or two. Everything is under warranty so if it continues I will take it in to Brads mechanic to get it fixed right ;)

I had assumed its marked like that to see if it has moved or been removed at some point.

PTU passenger side axle seal is a well known leak.  I would get it checked out before your PTU gets low on fluid and dies.

If you are a DIYer here's a write up on doing seals on the PTU for a Taurus X which is basically the same unit.
