This has been bugging me for quite some time and I can't seem to figure this out: Navigator (and Raptor, but that's not "Lincoln" brand) both get 2nd gen 3.5TT engines and 10 speed automatics. is it the engine layout that prevents this from being fitted to the Continental? I would much prefer the 450HP stock on this heavy beast as opposed to (just) 400 horses out of a 3.0.

Comments, insight, anything to add?

The Conti platform will not accept the overall size of the 3.5 ecoboost.  The transverse engine mounting prevents the use of the 10 speed transmission.  The 400 HP Conti will do 0-60 in about 5 seconds so it is competitive in its class.

I agree with you that more power would be welcome.  That is why I am getting mine tuned.

I see, that was the only reasonable explanation that I could come up with too. we have 3.5s in our MK-S cars and it was already a tight fit. I look forward to following your build.
