TSW Nurberings

I know there s a lot of info here about these wheels, but I wanted to ask about my specific application. I have decided to forsake all other wheels for the lighter, tried and true Nurbs. My question is about size and offset. Here's some specifics:

- I just bought Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3, 245/45/20. So this is the size I will be running.

- I plan on lowering. Most likely Eibachs because I don't want to go that low like with the HR's

- I do want to "fill out" the fenders, so I do want a smaller offset.

- I would like to go with the 20X9, gunmetal with mirror cut face.

- I know staggered is preferred by most, but I want the same size all around so I can properly rotate my tires.

Questions?  With the wider wheels and drop, what's the lowest offset I can go with?  Will the 9" wide wheels up front have clearance issues? Or will I need to go with 8.5"?  Most of you have wider tires, but since I'm keeping the stock size, I'm hoping I don't have any clearance issues. As far as the gun metal with mirror face, will I have any issues with Chicago winters and IL salt? I will wash at least once or twice per week depending on how bad it is, and I will most likely get a winter beater in the next year or 2. Sorry for rambling on. Any info, suggestions, advice, etc. is greatly appreciated.

One more thing.  Some claim to have lost anywhere from 20 - 30lbs going with these wheels.  I have been told the stock 20" wheels weigh around 32lbs.  The 20" Nurbs are only about 9 lbs lighter than that. And if the tires weight the same, where is all this weight saving coming from?  I see 40 ish lbs in savings. Unless the claims of more weight savings are because of downsizing to smaller wheels.

There is only one wheel part # that will suit you.  2085NUR405114G76  Those are the 40 offset 8.5" wide wheels.  20 Offset wheels would stick out too far, as would the 10" wide wheels on the front.

As for the weight differences, that is mostly because some of us are running smaller diameter wheels.  20" tires vary in weight also, as much as 5 lbs.

I think you have made a great tire choice. I didn't look at the weight specs for your particular tire size vs other brands in that size, but Michelin tends to be on the lighter side, as does Continental, and Bridgestone tends to be on the heavier side.

My 20 " Flex wheels with 255-45-20 Goodyear RS-A's weighed 63 lbs when I weighed them.

My 18" x 9" TSW Interlagos with Michelin Pilot Super Sports weighed 43 lbs when new.

My 18" x8.5" ASA Ar2's with Continental DW's weighed 47 lbs when new and at 30,000 mi lost 4 lbs of rubber so weighed 43 lbs. 

All of these weights were using the same scale, and do not include lug nuts.

This is about the maximum weight savings one can possibly get with one piece wheels.

You mean 9" wide up front?  I know 10" would likely not work.

In the 114.3 bolt pattern, there are no 20" wheels that are 9" wide.  Go to TSW site, and check wheel inventory and availability of widths.  The only wheel size that will fit your tires are the 40 offset 8.5" width.

I agree, although I didnt put my tsw's on a scale before putting them on the car, holding a tsw with mounted tire in one hand and a stock wheel with mounted tire in the other and you can tell a HUGE difference!
The TSW Nurburgrungs for the 20x8.5 is 23 pounds and the 20x10 is 24.5 pounds, and most of the savings is around the outer portion of the wheel, not so much the hub and spoke so its even more valuable savings. My SHO does everything better with the lighter wheels, and the P-Zero tires have yet to even squeal and Ive pushed them on some on/off ramps pretty hard!

In the 114.3 bolt pattern, there are no 20" wheels that are 9" wide.  Go to TSW site, and check wheel inventory and availability of widths.  The only wheel size that will fit your tires are the 40 offset 8.5" width.

I thought I read somewhere that they make a 20 x 9 in the SHO's bolt pattern. Looks like the 8.5" will be my only option. Wish there a smaller offset.

They make an 18" x 9" in 32 Offset.  I have that option in Interlagos pattern.
