Piggy back vs flash tune. Which is best?
« on: May 01, 2023, 10:48:37 AM »
Want to do tune for stock set up.  Would the JB4 be fine or is it better to get a flash?  Just want better overall performance out of a DD.  Which flash tuner is recommended if I go that route.  Want something that is basically just plugnplay.

As long as you are not warranted. I would get it tuned for sure.

Unleashed, AJP Turbo ( if he is still doing it ), Gearhead.

Others may chime in but those are who I would use.

Unleashed has excellent customer support.

Gearhead has auto octane tuning.

AJP is the best for top speed per say. I used AJP and his tunes rocked it out.

Today. I would get an Auto Octane tune via Gearhead and they do a great E30 tune if you have ethanol around. 93 is good enough tho.

I pretty much only have access to 91 w/10% E or nonE 91.  Above 5000

Non E 91 is a good choice.

5000 ft is tough on turbo output but the tune will be good.
