Diverter valves

On the mks there are 2 diverter valves on one turbo outlet hose but connect to both intake hoses. Is having both of them necessary if one of them isnt even connected to the other outlet hose? Or would it be ideal to install 2 where each one connects to only one inlet and outlet hose?

All the years of having my two SHO's I never even thought about the fact that they are both on the same pipe. That is kind of weird now that I think about it. Maybe they aren't designed to flow enough air for just one valve to dump the boost?

The second charge pipe is just rubber even on the upgraded hot pipes kit, so it wouldn't be possible to put one on that one.

With twin turbo 2 probably diverts enough air quick enough to not have compressor surge.

Im thinking that this may help with turbo response as well, since one charge pipe is will be full keeping boost up to or through the intercooler?  Im going to make my own intake and charge pipes to have the air filter in another location, and will probably plumb the diverter valves the same on just one charge pipe.
