Has anyone out there installed one of Gearhead's torque converters? I'm in the process of building my engine so since it's out of the car I was thinking of installing GearHeads Converter. Thanks for looking!

I have one waiting in the wings so to speak.

But have *NOT YET* installed it.

No thanks to the pandemic it's collecting dust atm, while my SHO's under going it's own rebuild.

Stock stall, higher efficiency unlocked from billet stator, brazed fins for durability, 20% more lockup clutch area with a higher energy material.  Basically what the factory should have done....LOL

At what power levels would you suggest this upgrade be performed?

Shoot you're right. I remember seeing it and "assumed" I saw it on their site.

I picked up one, after my first trans got swapped (ford esp) the second unit had a bad TC, so not wanting to have to do it myself, I chatted with the tech and he swapped it in, And Matt got a brand new unit to update.  This has had more control over shutter during TC lockup and high gear roll in boost, both others had with this, and also my last flex had this issue as well.
Ported - Heads, EX manifolds, and turbine housings, GH - turbos, TQ, & IC, EPP intake and hotpipes w/Tial (11lbs), x35 spacer, MSD coils, PPE catted DP, Magnaflow exhaust, DW in tank, Livernois Hpfp, Fuel-IT e-sensor, AEM WMI, SHO trans cooler, Megan Coilovers, Retrofitted Headlights, TSW wheels

I wasn't aware it was a stock stall.  That is a good thing as that makes more appealing to the daily drivers as well.
2013 Lincoln MKS ecoboost, 70,000 miles.  3 bar map 93 tune (E30 in the future) by both AJP Turbo and Ortiz Performance.  PPE catted down pipes, EPP dual CAI (not yet installed so K&N drop in), .026 gapped SP542, 170 degree thermostat, Dynomax axlebacks, and Power Stop Z23 pads and rotors.
