We had a blast! No personal bests for me this time around... having some throttle closures to chase down..

I did play around after realizing that I wasn't gonna set a personal record and ran the auto octane tune...

With a trash 1.9 60ft and with a fresh load.. literally loaded it and ran... put down a 12.49 at 109mph... with the throttle closed more often than not...

Makes me think it could be a 12.2 on pump gas at full weight which would be one hell of a daily Taurus...

Now BamSHO had great success!

More importantly I got to hang out with a fellow SHO enthusiast and had a hell of a time. It's not every day that someone drives 4hrs to go to a race track with you! It really is just awesome to meet up with friends and race!

Ya, we left a bit early cause the drag radial cars were spinning out and one of the track maintenance guys said it was cause of the SHO's wheel hopping pulling up the VHT and bringing rocks back onto the track...

Right or wrong we could sense the frustration of the DR guys and didn't want to make a fuss. Besides we had gotten our runs in...

I wanted to play more with the auto octane tune but oh well.

My times were off cause my updates tunes didn't have the dual feed intake accounted for so the adaptives were pulling 10% of the wastegate out which wasn't enough.. so I was running with the throttle partially closed more often than not... Matt sent me updated tunes yesterday after a discussion and logs..

My best was a 12.055 @ 115mph with a 1.81 60ft.. that's with the throttle partially closed.. that was E30..

I loaded the AO tune at the staging lane right before running, spun out with a 1.9 60ft and still managed a 12.49 @ 109mph... on a good launch and a bit of time letting the tune settle, I'm sure it's a 12.2 on pump 93 tune.

Sorry for the delay guys.  I was really tired when I got home.  Between DC  traffic and thinking about why my car wouldn't 60ft,  my brain was fried.   So my first run of the day ended up being the best.  I ended up getting a personal best 60ft and best ET with no methanol.   Then the rest of the it was trying to figure out tire pressure and launch RPMs.  You will see on the last slips, I got it somewhat figured out.  Still not great.

Since this was a private rental, they must of really paid to prep, because they did.  They sprayed VHT all the way out to the 330 mark.  When I pulled up for my first run, I thought the car broke because she was struggling to stage.  I could let off the brakes and the car wouldn't move, I had to use the accelerator pedsl stage the car, not by stage bumping in with the brakes.   We all like good prep but dam.

BJ and I left early due to not wanting to deal with rush hour traffic and some of the other driver's were complaining that we were ruining the starting line.  So we left, I know dam well we weren't the issue.  Other cars were leaving just fine.

When I got home, I texted the owner of BeaverSprings.  He told me too much prep is as bad as not enough, so, so there is that fine line.  So could of our cars performed better, with less prep, who knows.

Overall had a great trip, to hang out with good friends and BJ opening his house to me to crash, was priceless.  So I'm ending race season with this trip.  I hit 3 major personal goals this year.  First was the dyno run, then hitting 12.2s locally with no meth, and 12.14 at MIR with no methanol.  I'd say it was a good year.  So time to clean the SHO up, get her ready to hibernation.
