2011 MKS Ecoboost Strut/Strut Mounts

Per some YouTube research I had my son turn the steering wheel right to left a few times. I noted that the springs were actually turning. Which according to some YouTube technicians means the strut mounts are bad. That being said, I was wondering how diy friendly is a strut mount replacement on the MKS Ecoboost? Or would a better option be to find a supplier to purchase loaded front struts that are ready to just install.

So I guess I'll update my post:

I called the dealership to see wholesale pricing for front struts and strut mounts. I also checked Rockauto.com. I ended up ordering from Rockauto.com even with shipping they were considerably cheaper for Ford Motorcraft parts!!!! A shop quoted me $90 per strut to transfer coil springs from the old struts to the new struts, and install the new strut mounts as well. My son wants to remove the old struts and install the new assemblies as a father son project.
