Is the blend door in the 2010 in the same location as the 2013+?  And is there any required alignments to be made other than put it in the way it came out?  and would a bad blend door allow car wash water to drip into the passenger floor?

Is the push to start standalone like in this Fusion video and just as plug and play?  (IE no monkeying with the ECU to marry anything...)

I just replaced the blend door part behind the glove box. They have a mark on the back cover where the flat part of the ribbed post should point to. If it's there put the ac in front on and it'll slide right in. If it's pointed a different direction put the ac in front on defrost. You can also move the gear in the dash with the tip of a 3/8 socket extension in there and turn gently. It'll only move in 2 directions. The knocking starts when the ribs on the motor piece start wearing down or breaking off.

Can't help on the push to start issue though but following this topic now.

I got my OEM actuator from Amazon, I think it was $25 total. Good luck...

Water dripping from the car wash is probably a clogged sunroof drain. If you open the sunroof you should see a drain on each side. A little compressed air usually unclogs them.

I had to replace the passenger temp blend door on my 2011. Passenger air was always hot instead of cold. I did not make any adjustments when I swapped it. It was the one to the left of cabin air filter with a giant bundle of wires right in front of it. Pain in the butt to replace unless you have tiny hands, but only 5-10 minutes of cursing are required.

hmm the drains are clear,  I checked about a month ago for another issue i fixed (misaligned moon roof).  I know the intake from outside air filter is right up front under the black plastic under the windshield.. i will have to look and see if there is debris ..

as for the Blend door >  https://www.amazon.com/Motorcraft-YH-1779-Blend-Actuator-Motor/dp/B004A2IJDY

Correct part number for dual zone climate ?

That looks like the correct one. I believe all 4 are exactly the same, so if it doesn't fix your issue hang onto it. Only a matter of time until one of the other ones break.

ruh roh.  there's more than 1 :O   :)

One directly behind the glove box (I believe that is the control for defrost or feet vents), one to the left of that one hidden behind a back of wires (controls passenger side temps), and two up under the dash on driver side (one for fresh recirc air and the other for driver side temp). I've never messed with the driver side ones, so info above about them may be full or partially full of sh*t.

I also stopped the water from coming into the passenger cabin floor. :)

I'm curious did the blend door cause any noise? I've had the water in the passenger floor. Lately I noticed that when the AC is on there is an intermittent rattling noise kind of like the noise a loose heat shield makes. I'm wondering if it may be the blend door.

Hmm I did not hear that at all.  Just the click-clickity on startup when it would try to reset position or if I hit the recirculation button.

I'll try the recirculation button to see what happens.
