Thanks to everyone for subscribing, posting of positive comments, all the support, etc.

The road ahead is filled with challenges for sure.

Goals are set for reasons. Hopefully they can be achieved.

Been logging lots of overtime hours at work to offset current, and anticipated costs.

Given it's August, the likelihood of the car being completed this year is NOT LIKELY.

I'm hopeful though for Spring of 2020.

Fingers crossed and updates will be posted as they occur.

08/09/2019 --- Ordered the new PTU replacement and the Police Interceptor alternator for my SHO.

BOTH are due in early next week.

Alternator will sit and collect dust so to speak, while other aspects keep chugging along.

PTU will immediately be brought to the machine shop performing my rebuild, so that they can disassemble it, and prep it for the WPC Treatment (previously discussed) to coincide with treating the various internal engine bits.

Slow progress, but progress nonetheless.

Also have some inquiries into (possible) trans upgrades.

Trying to budget ahead of time, while continuing to submit myself to slavery type hours of overtime at my employer.

I've been blessed with more hours than I anticipated. Which is good for the pocket, but bad for the body.

Motivation's still burning strong, so ahead I forge. Hope everyone's well and enjoying their Summer.

I'm living vicariously through all of your posts about your experiences, so even though I don't reply as often as in years past, know that I'm reading each of them, and smiling.

Thus why I STRONGLY recommended SHOdded be included as one of the staff here at EBPF so many years ago.

His dedication, as well as yours Z, have both been nothing short of exemplary.

08/10/19 ---

Recieved a text from machine shop owner today, that the closed decking of my engine has been completed, and the block is making it's way back to his facility.

Pics perhaps by end of next week?

. . . . Just got these sent to me from the machine shop. Literally. Engine has returned to their facility. Full closed deck completed. Yea baby.

I asked what was next in the process, and he replied with the following (in quotes).....

"I'm waiting for the pistons, so then I can hone the block and set my piston too wall clearance. Then resurface the engine block and align hone the mains with the arp studs".

Enjoy the car porn fella's. Exciting times on the horizon.

I'm gonna say that, this was very funny.  ...it just didn't feel right clicking on a "like" or "thank you" button.

Briefly texted with machine shop owner yesterday, 09/05/19......

He said that he has disassembled the heads, and has begun the porting and polishing.

Currently waiting on pistons to arrive. Once they do, he'll be able to begin the remaining machine work on the block.

Also, I am going to have the valve covers and intake plenum PC'd this time around. Not sure about what else to do in the visual arena as pretty much everything else is mostly out of sight.

Also, my local mechanic pal / friend is still awaiting return call from trans vendor he sourced. If that doesn't pan out, I have two other's waiting in the wings for me to call.

Just thought to provide an update. Happy Friday and hope everyone enjoys their upcoming weekend.

Oh, btw, I also asked/prompted/nudged the machine shop owner to send more engine porn pics to follow along in the process. Told him I'd appreciate seeing them, as would all of you. Forgot to add that bit.

Mike,
When I had my my transmission problems (still do) I was considering this trans. I've read a few scattered articles and havent found anything negative but not enough positive.
