08/09/2019 --- Ordered the new PTU replacement and the Police Interceptor alternator for my SHO.

BOTH are due in early next week.

Alternator will sit and collect dust so to speak, while other aspects keep chugging along.

Can you confirm PI 220 amp alternator works and fits and works 13 sho w/pp?

All indications I've seen thus far, yes.

I won't know definitively until everything gets reassembled.

I'll repost when that occurs to provide you with confirmation.

Well. Taking advantage of an unusual, near 50 degree here in CHItown, I opted to wash the SHO for the literal 1st time since April of 2019.

Boy, was she filthy AF. Just take a look.....

Glad to have been able to clean her up.

And, I might add, this right here is..... bar none, the (literal) BEST MOD I've performed to date.

Good riddance.......

Hey I was curious .. Any head mods going in for flow?  Been super curious if better flow would allow for another 400-500 rpm ..

Yes.

As far as specifics? I am not able to disclose at this time.

But that info will be being spoken about eventually.

01/27/20......

Placed an email inquiry to x35 Designs, in regards to their new product offering (Phenolic Spacers) and expressed willingness to pay in full immediately, to facilitate a quick turn around.

Also, received data from the machine shop owner this morning regarding flow data on BOTH the Intake, and the Exhaust ports, for all of the extreme custom porting work that has been performed on my heads.

The data displays 'BEFORE' and 'AFTER' #'s for public consumption. I have been told this improvement (a nearly 26% increase on the intake side, and 44% increase on the exhaust side) is projected to provide an 80 to 85hp improvement on just this one modification alone.

Getting more excited as the clarity and culmination of several months worth of work, is beginning to show HUGE improvements in many areas.

Hope everyone's New Year is off to a great start! Enjoy!

02/08/20......

Heads are nearly complete.

Machine shop owner began researching cams, and pretty much came up empty handed.

As such, we have decided to roll with custom, upsized/enlarged valves, to make up for a slight anticipated cfm loss from a replacement stock cam not being able to hit the peak flow #'s achieved from the custom porting.

The aforementioned netting us a slight gain. Which is great.

Having a few more items thermal coated.

Assembly work beginning soon, and more engine porn pics should be forthcoming.

Re-visited / re-discussed turbo's again. Still being told to stay put with the ATP's (for now). There's some curiosity in where they'll max out as it relates to my build specifically.

The expectation is we will max them out, and when that occurs, we'll re-approach and will go with a completely custom, one-off turbo set up in the future. Which is fine, as it'll give me time to work more O.T. and save up $$$$$. Likely have to modify the DP's at that time as well.

Ummm..... what else?

Being told the trans vendor's waiting on a few more parts. But it's coming along. Also was told that the trans was in much better shape than the vendor anticipated. Stated there was some minor scoring on the trans pump itself, but otherwise, all else checked out good. Still, the trans vendor knows my desired goals, and is doing their best to build something decent that'll take the anticipated abuse. Fingers crossed.

Received the UPR dual OCC. All aspects of the kit appear well built, beefy/sturdy.

Looks like we'll be rolling with an SCT based tuning device. Likely gonna get the 'Livewire +TS' or whatever the latest offering is.

A continued work in progress. I'll post pics as they are provided to me. Hope everyone's doing well.
