The instant torque is what would concern me. What if you ran it on a progressive controller? You could then bring the power in more slowly. That way it didn't shock the drivetrain so bad at the hit. I've played with nitrous on a few cars. Not quite as many as you but it doesn't scare me either.

seems like with some of the new controllers you can pick progressive, what gear and what rpm. I would start in 3rd after 3500 rpm as our cars fall a bit short on the long end.

Yeah have never been a progressive controller guy. Basically what I would do it start small and work up. Leave on the converter in boost and when my foot hits the floor, its on.

I would keep my E30 tune for my running around.

Then I would have Brad build me a complete nitrous tune. Lower boost, lower timing, and just on a 50 shot with such a small CI plus boost...that 50 shot should make around 100 hp more to the tire.

To address the tq we could limit it to 550 then we would be cooking with fire. 500 hp and 550 tq to the tire with a 1.70 sixty foot should put her bottom 11.00's in the right conditions and still be safe.

I would run E100 for the wet nitrous fuel source so I wouldn't have to worry about mixing fuels.

I've always run a controller. Being a drag racer I felt I could fine tune the system a lot more with a controller. Especially to track conditions or a bad track. I guess it's more important when you are trying to hit a certain ET where ever you run. More then one way to skin a cat for sure. God I miss nitrous.

I don't like the fact that a window switch runs my whole nitrous system.  I ran both of my kits on manual buttons always.  This isnt going to be dedicated drag set up.  I will load the tune, and if I need it, then I will use it.

Not yet, I guess he has been busy.  I won't put a kit (if I do) until the fall anyways.

If this idea of a chemical intercooler works I think you might not wait until fall to do yours

It isn't an idea.  I proved it worked almost 12 years ago.  People are just so taboo about Nitrous.

When it boils down to it.  I personally won't be using Nitrous as a chemical intercooler like what you are planning to do.  My set up will be a flat out compound power adder.

Street car I agree with you. My mind instantly goes to 7/8 second dragcars lol. Leaving with the wheels in the air for 100 plus feet you want a window switch. Especially if you have to peddle it. Plus with a 1.09 60 foot you're  kinda are holding on. I was just thinking of an easier way to get the spray to come on. Just the instant torque scares me on the drivetrain. Your idea will work no doubt in my mind. I also have a feeling after one does it many will.

Couple of things....

SHO:

Ordered an Extreme Dimensions front chin spoiler today. In conjunction to Andrew's splitter combination, that will be the next exterior upgrades on the SHO.  Also since I have to remove the front clip, I will also be adding the bigger trans cooler during that install as well.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EC4BV4S?pf_rd_p=183f5289-9dc0-416f-942e-e8f213ef368b&pf_rd_r=G8KP01V4Q6F27FASXBD1

Looking at that one.  I know it is black, but if it works awesome.  If it doesn't then I am out fluid and $61.00 bucks lol. Worth the try.

ST:

The ST just got a Megan Racing downpipe ordered for it.  This will replace the factory dp and first cat.  This should free up some power and help with the fuel mileage.  If it arrives this week, I will yank the struts and have the strut bearings replaced.  Since the struts will be out of it, this will free up a lot of space for the removal of the stock equipment, and installation of the new dp.
