Just wondering, in our Explorer Sport there is no boost gauge.  I wonder how much boost is run at wide open throttle?  Thanks.

what is the max the stock turbos are capable of ? just wondering with other fuel support mods what their limits would be.
2013 PP SHO LMS 93V10 tune, 170* T stat, 3bar, K&N drop in, plugs re-gapped, 4in exhaust tips.
UPDATE - 130K miles =blown engine. Unleashed tune and EBPP upgrade turbo billet wheels / Turbo Smart WGA's on a bran new long block. Let's get this SHO on the road !

"capable" ... i think I have seen 19+ psi some place on this board.

16ish psi is target "safe" range.

But I am a noob.  Someone will correct me.  I hope.

Your right about 15-16psi is about maximum usable boost. They can produce more, but it's not efficient boost.

So upgraded fuel mods would basically be useless on stock turbos ?

No. Running E85 would allow more timing which is not available with the stock system.

More like upgraded fuel mods would be more than stock internals can handle.

I don't think this true at all. People have used meth, nitrous and supplementary fueling to the tune of 600awhp without the internals failing. Ford Racing is even using stock internals on their 3.5L Ecoboost race engine

Ford racing uses a stock block That's it, there is only one person to claim 600hp and it was disassembled and sold in a soon after. So if that's proof enough for that's great.

If you are interetsed in this on an ongoing basis, like I am, you might want to check out the Aeroforce Interceptor thread on here. Nice easy plug and play boost gauge. Sold in the store here too.

I am. But what i am trying to say is the car has enough fuel to over come the internals. Which is not true, but when comes to injectors and hpfp I would imagine will run into to thousands of dollars. Or meth for 1k just make 50-80hp. Everything goes hand and hand and one thing leads to another. It's just my opinion that a modified fuel system on a stock motor would be a waist of money.  But even even you did mod fuel system to handle more fuel the stock turbos won't keep up. So by doing these thing I am sure everyone will want the most potential out of them.
