Guys, sorry to resurect an old thread, but I am installing the can on my 16 and hit a bit of a wrinkle.  My pcv pipe from the front port that will get capped to the intake pipe has a sensor on it. This sensor is going to be removed with the pipe upon ccs install. The sensor was not mentioned in any install wrietups and I have no idea what its for.  Can someone shed some light on it. I can not imagine I can simply leave it out. Thanks

SHOdded

Can you post a pic of the area, slicky?  Will make it much easier to identify the issues if any :)
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Here is the photo of the pipe.  It is what will become the CCS side line...more or less.  The sensor in question is in the middle of the pipe.

They also shipped 3/8" NPT fittings, which I had a heck of a time trying to to find a tap for.  Have yet to do that.
Also, they shipped a length of clear hose.  Not sure what I am supposed to do with that.
Gee, for over $300, I would expect vehicle specific instructions for this kit.....

I have no idea, have you tried contacting them?

I will call them tomorrow.
Any idea what the sensor is for?  Other do not seem to have it.  Is this something Ford added for the 16 models?

Here's the link from Ford but in my opinion its an EGR Sensor, also RX only shows diagrams from 11-14 Ecoboost.  Z          http://www.rxspeedworks.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Ford-EcoBoost.pdf

Agreed on the instructions. That's why I did such a detailed write up. Lol
Not sure what the sensor is for either. My 14 didn't have it.
3/8"NPT taps aren't too bad to find. I would check a real, local type hardware store, or a plumbing shop.
Pretty sure the clear hose is to affix to the bottom of the CC valve to make for a less messy drain procedure.  ...if you need it.

Depending where you drilling you may not to need to tap. On my css I drilled the air box with the appropriate size hole and the plastic nipple was able thread in on its own.

Yup, that's it.... The EGR sensor only appears on the 15 and up models.
Called RX.....Apparently you don't need to drill into the factory turbo pipes anymore.  But since I have already done that I focused on what I need to do with what I already have.  Apparently, that pipe with the sensor can and should be left alone.  No capping of the port.

Some advise for these that are doing the installation for 15 and up models:  call RX for direction.  Don't follow instructions in this thread or even these on RX's own web site.  They are not completely accurate for the newer models.

Great info!

How does Rx suggest you tap into the turbo pipes now if not drill into them? BOV return port??

Unfortunately, I did not quite understand how they suggest it should have been installed.  My head started spinning a bit as he was rattling off and I heard that I did not have to drill two OEM pipes that I so did not want to drill into....and driving around for an hour and a half looking for a 3/8 NPT tap....(please shoot me now).
He said one connection to the passenger turbo pipe is sufficient, but which existing port you can use to avoid drilling, I do not know.  Also, why do they provide a tee if one connection is sufficient.....
